What is E24 Certification?
When vehicles or their components (such as lights, seat belts, automotive electronics, tires, etc.) are intended for sale in the European market, they must pass strict safety and environmental regulations. Upon passing these tests, the product is awarded a specific mark:
- Big "E" Mark (E-Mark): Based on the United Nations ECE regulations, this framework is recognized by multiple countries globally (including non-European member states).
- Small "e" Mark (e-Mark): Based on European Union (EU) directives, this is a mandatory entry requirement for vehicles entering the EU market.
When the mark contains E24 or e24, it signifies that the certificate has been reviewed and issued by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI). This certificate holds equal legal validity and is fully accepted across all EU member states and UNECE contracting countries.
As a prime example, HUSHAN (Hushan Autoparts) has successfully passed the regulatory testing of the European Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, securing the E24 certificate issued by the NSAI (with certificates covering regulations such as 10R-06/02). This achievement demonstrates that HUSHAN’s products have strictly complied with the rigorous ECE R10 Automotive Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) standards.
